With the advancements made in cell phone technology each aspect of the device is improved upon. One such area where that hasn't seen much improvement is the durability of the phone. All cell phones are delicate and are very susceptible to damage and harm. But one phone made specifically for those who live very active lifestyles and find that regular phones aren't durable enough, is the Casio Exilim C721. The phone is extremely durable and is military tested to withstand the elements. While Casio is well known for its digital cameras they have merged with the G'zOne phones (a series of phones which were also very durable) to create their latest incarnation. The Casio Exilim C721 is a rugged camera phone with a very easy to use interface. The list of features also includes a full HTML web browser.

While the previous installments of G'zOne phones were durable they weren't much to look at. The Exilim not only improves on its durability it also improve on its design as well. The phone has a sleek modern feel which will appeal to the masses. The Exilim is military tested and passes the MIL-STD 810F code which means the phone would be functional even when it is completely submerged in water. One can even take photos underwater (a feature that many divers could use regularly). The phone can also withstand rain, dust, salt, extreme humidity, snow, and even solar radiation and still be functional.

One of the features found on this phone is its 5.1-megapixel camera. The camera found on this phone functions as well as most point and shoots. The camera works well with the phones design. The flip compartment is able to completely rotate turning the screen into a camera view finder. You can use the view finder for self portraits or flip it back down and use it as a more traditional camera view finder. Most camera phones offer only 3 different settings for resolution. But on the Exilim there are 7 different settings. The camera also features a 16x digital zoom, image stabilizer, auto focus, and a bright LED flash. The phone also features various modes for taking pictures in various locations and situations. The mode titles are self explanatory like Person, Scenery, Night View, Food, Character, Party, etc. The phone can also record video. The video quality is good and the image stabilizer works well and leaves your video free of jerky movements.

Also available on the Exilim is a full HTML web browser. The web browser worked quite well and websites appeared clear on the screen. The screen on the phone is rather small but one is able to zoom in and out during web browsing for a better view of the websites. Full HTML web browsing is usually reserved for phones with bigger screens.

The Casio Exilim C721 would make a great phone for anyone who needs a durable device to withstand their active lifestyle. Along with its amazing camera and easy to use interface this phone is a great device anyone can utilize. It may cost a little more than other phones but the price tag is worth it alone for the camera and durability.
