Make The Most of Your Summer With Art

People crave summer like cold water on a hot day in July. Its sounds like heaven while in the midst of a sociology test. However, once summer break begins teens often get stuck lying around with nothing to do. They get burnt out on the pool once they get a sun burn and the mall gets pointless when they run out of money, so where to go? Something new and exiting would be to visit an art show. Art shows are usually free and are a fun creative way to spend an evening. Another great idea is spending the day at the museum. If you can find a free museum, its the best deal.
Museums can be expensive, but its something that can fill up an entire day. Often, the price for tickets will get you into multiple exhibits and some kind of show. Each exhibit can take an hour to get through, and its a great way to learn and have fun at the same time. Going to an imax theater, if your theater has one,is also lots of fun. Its like seeing a movie, but being emerged in it at the same time. Seeing an imax film can be the funnest way to end a day at the museum.
Another great way to spend a summer day is go check out all your local thrift stores. Naturally, to do so you will need a car or a friend with a car. Thrifting is not only a great way to save money, but its tons of fun. If you are having trouble finding legitimate clothing choices at a store, just have a blast by trying on the goofiest stuff you can find. Thrift stores are always full of funky clothes from the nineties and eighties, so there is no doubt you can find some really weird outfits to put on. A must for all thrifting days is a camera though!
If your city has a lot of religious schools and churches, they will most likely have festivals during the summer. I suggest getting online and looking up festivals in your area and mark the dates on your calendar. By going to these festivals you are supporting your community and having a good time. Plus, there is always the possibility to meet a guy or girl whose also bored, you two may end up spending the rest of your summer evenings with one another. Always keep your mind open to going to new place and doing new things during the summer.
Summer is such a great opportunity to do all the fun things you weren't able to do during the school year. You have three months to do whatever you want. The the only issue is sometimes you run out of things to do, or cant think of anything exiting. The trick is to keep your options open and explore everything. Call up your more distant friends who you haven't hung out with and do something spontaneous. Summer is full of chances to make memories, so take it. Don't say no to anything that sound like it could be fun.
